12 von 12/12 of 12 September

Here's my 12 of 12 with many thanks to Chad Darnell who invented this project.

A wonderful sunday morning, drinking my first cup of coffee watching the sun rise and shine through the "morning glories" ...

8:15 am - Die Biene beim Frühstück. A bee having her breakfast.

8:50 am - Schatten und Kaffee. Shadows and coffee.

I grow blue morning glories (ipomea) every year, they form a lovely transparent curtain ... keeping out too nosy looks ... and isn't their colour just heavenly ....

10:25 am - Und was ist das wohl? And what may that be?

Right - it's the skin of a marrow. Harvest from my little kitchen garden: flowers, herbs and now and then a big marrow. Very often the marrows are turned into this.

10:45 am - Majoran und Schatten. Marjoram and shadow.

There is no denying in September: summer has definitely gone and within a few days the public swimming pool will close its doors again for this year. Nevertheless I enjoy this last sunny afternoon by the shores of the river Aare.

3:55 pm - Himmel im Wasser. Watery sky.

Unoccupied deckchairs - an unmistakable sign that the end of the season is near.

4:30 pm - Der Kiosk ist bereits geschlossen. Schönes Beispiel von hässlicher Architektur. The coffee shop is closed down already. Good example of bad architecture. The writing says "your mother" - one word is probably missing or he didn't know how to spell it ....

5:45 pm - Der Himmel zieht sich Wolken an. Sky decorating itself with some clouds.

Schöne Stimmungen, die du da eingefangen hast! Toll!

Hi Regina, lovely photos as always, it is sad that summer (such as it was!) has gone but the autumn colours are always very welcome to me.

Thank you as well for the Beatrix Potter link you sent me, being able to see the original drawings yesterday was a very special treat. As you say there is a lot of love in them :)

I used to grow morning glories too, when I had an appartment in Montreal. I reallly enjoyed seeing them every day.
It is sad, indeed, to see summer go, but fall is so beautiful!

Lovely pictures!

It's feeling cool here now too, the weather is getting more autumnal. I like the autumn, but I miss the warm weather!

Lovely food photos you have there :-)
